1. How do I get started?

Liquid is an easy to integrate platform, taking no more than 10 minutes to do it. If you are a developer, just follow the instructions on the documentation page. If you are not a developer, just send him an email with the instructions.

2. Which platforms do you support?

At the moment Liquid supports iOS, Android and Windows Phone systems through dedicated SDKs. We are working on developing further SDKs to support other mobile hybrid platforms and also web. But we already support all platforms through our APIs. More information on Liquid API can be found here.

3. What do I need to do in my app to take full advantages of Liquid functionalities?

Liquid demands minor changes on the application side to take full advantage of all Liquid capabilities. First you need to instantiate the SDK and start tracking your events and user information. Sessions and device information are automatically tracked by the SDK.

Then you are ready to start analyzing your data on the platform and create or use Liquid pre-built Formulas.

If you want to use the elements personalization capability you just need to replace static variables in your code by Liquid dynamic variables. Default values (shipped with your application) are set inline in your code and compiled in your application.

4. Can I import my past data into Liquid?

Yes it is possible through our Data Collection API, just send us an event specific for this purpose like “Import User” enclosing each of your user's information and they will be added right away.

5. How can I export data from Liquid?

Liquid supports multiple ways to export data. The most common is by using our ability to export segments of users to a csv file. Other ways include real time notification of an event, either to your backend servers or any third party you want us to integrate with. If your goal is to export all information, you can always talk to us and we will make it available for you to download it.

6. What information does Liquid send to my app?

Liquid is not an evasive platform, it just sends small quantities of text-based information. When you use the real-time changes feature, Liquid will send your application a set of values for the variables you defined for each session that fits with the targets you defined to deploy the changes.

7. Can I combine all my app information from multiple platforms?

Yes, Liquid collects the information from all platforms on a single Liquid application thus allowing you to segment all your users on the same dashboard and see aggregated data across platforms. This also means that Liquid allows you to deploy changes on multiple platforms from a single place.

8. What type of data can you handle?

From an app perspective, Liquid supports three types of metrics: user profiling and behavior, sessions, devices and events. Tracking of sessions and devices is fully automated so that you only need to worry with events and users and which attributes/properties to include, i.e. feel free to include user information from social networks and weather data when an event occurred.

9. What about privacy?

All your information stored on Liquid remains completely private on our servers, and will never, in any situation, be shared with third-party entities. We only use that information to create your analytics and help your app decide the values for your dynamic variables. So ultimately the data is yours.

10. What about security?

All information shared between your app and Liquid is transferred over a high security channel, using SSL, the same protocol used by your bank for home banking. All the information is stored on AWS servers using state-of-the-art security mechanisms. We also store our customers' data in completely separate databases so each application's data is self contained.

11. What if your service goes down or there is no Internet connection?

In that case, our SDKs have a cache mechanism that will store all the information until our servers are reachable again, so NO data will be lost. Regarding the changes inside the application, when there is no connection to the Liquid platform the applications will show the last configuration received that is stored in the application itself.

12. How do I integrate with other platforms?

Liquid has already built-in multiple integrations: Appsflyer, Sendgrid, Mailchimp, Slack and Zapier. Besides those, we also have a web hook you can use to connect your applications. Zapier should give you access to direct integrations with hundreds of other platforms. But if this doesn’t meet your needs or if the integration you need is not available, contact us and we will try to accommodate your request in one of our next releases.
